Abstract
Abstract The performance of a two-stage hydrocarbon miscible flood project at the Mitsue field, Alberta, Canada is updated. The reservoir management issues pertaining to the miscible flood project are also discussed, particularly the use of a relational database to store and manipulate the large quantities of data associated with the miscible flood project. Lastly, the chase gas optimization efforts undertaken since original project design are discussed. The Hybrid finite-difference/streamtube technique has been used to modify the chase gas injection slug size and WAG ratio.
