Abstract

A new method is presented for estimating reserves and predicting the performance of abnormally pressured (geopressured) natural gas reservoirs. The method is applicable for reservoirs undergoing either depletion drive or limited steady-state water drive. Possible reasons for the differences in performance between normally pressured and abnormally pressured gas reservoirs are discussed.
