Abstract

Parking in cities is a big challenge all delivery services are faced with. City cores, mainly consisting of marginally constructed blocks, additionally make the solving of this problem more difficult. In this paper, a proposal is made for the introduction of reserved parking spots for delivery vehicles. The choice of potential spots is based on urban parameters using the methods for solving location set-covering issues. The user requests were observed in a longer period of time and the nodes were located using a geographic information system in which the greatest was demand for the mail delivery service.
