Abstract

This paper mainly discusses the effects of the length of dead-time and sizes of shunt capacitance on output power range of zero-voltage soft switching (ZVS). An exact single phase shift mathematical mode of dual active bridge isolated dc-dc converters (DAB) is built and a conclusion on how to expand the range of soft switching can be obtained through analyzing the equivalent circuit. Meanwhile, different sizes of dead-time and shunt capacitance are simulated to verify the conclusion. Finally, some advice is given to achieve wide range of ZVS.
