Abstract
Currently, various prediction standards with inherent components models and data are adopted during reliability prediction. Despite of their valuable deliverables, various limitations exist like lack of accuracy, old time fashion and lack of some important statistical inherence, etc. With wide application of reliability testing technologies and mathematic statistical theories, more and more component vendors publish their reliability data derived from practical testing with large sample size. The state of the art is given firstly in paper. Then method of reliability prediction is introduced. The limitations of the method are summarized. Reliability test method and statistical analyses method, which are commonly adopted by manufactures, are further described. Sample test results, inherent reliability implication and categorization among some popular manufactures are given as demonstration. Suggestions for the practical application of these data are finally discussed. The paper is expected to contribute to enhancing the confidence and accuracy of essential data of electronic parts for further higher level quantitative analyses.
