Abstract

Facial recognition accuracy has improved up to 30% since 2010, according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), following results emerging from its 2013 tests of facial recognition algorithms. Meanwhile researchers at the Chinese University of Hong Kong say they have invented software that can identify people from photographs better than humans can, reports China News Service.
