Abstract
New research from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy shows that charitable giving to U.S.‐based nonprofit organizations that primarily serve the LGBTQ+ community accounted for just 0.13% of total giving in 2019, the most recent year for which complete data are available. But while that figure seems small, the report shows support for these types of organizations is picking up speed, and is expected to continue to grow.
