Abstract

The image removal of rain is of great significance to solve the problem of limited computer vision system under rainy weather conditions. Most of the current research work is focused on video rain. Unlike video rain removal, a single image has no prior time domain information, making rain removal more difficult. This article first classifies the existing single image rain removal methods, then introduces the typical single image rain removal methods, and summarizes the improvements, advantages, limitations and use scenarios of each method. Finally, the possible development direction of single image rain removal technology is prospected.
