Abstract

Intensive care unit (ICU) delirium has raised more concerns as a common symptom of cognitive impairment among the inpatients. Not only does it have a high incidence, a series of short and long term negative clinical outcomes would also be resulted from it. However, the application effect of current ICU delirium prevention and management measures is poor. In this paper, the promoting and hindering factors during intervention are summarized from the aspects of organizational factors, personal factors and patient-related factors. This paper aims to provide theoretical support for the health care workers in the prevention and treatment of the ICU delirium.
