Abstract

Immune thrombocytopenia(ITP) is a common hemorrhagic disease in children. Some children, who have a prolonged course of disease, may develop to chronic thrombocytopenia (CITP). The immune mechanism associated with CITP is complicated, which is different from that of acute ITP. The mechanism of CITP involves innate immune , adaptive immunity, etc. This review discussed the immune mechanism of reduced platelet production, increased destruction of platelet, and declined function of platelets. Key words: Chronic immune thrombocytopenia; Antiplatelet antibody; Innate immunity; Adaptive immunity
