Abstract
Vocal cord leukoplakia is a common disease, which is considered to be one of the precancerous lesions of larynx, but the term of vocal cord leukoplakia is not equivalent to cancer or malignant disease. At present, there is no unified standard for the diagnosis and treatment of vocal cord leukoplakia. This review focused on the etiology, pathology, diagnosis, treatment, canceration rate, follow-up and basic researches of the vocal cord leukoplakia. Key words: Vocal cords; Leukoplakia; Diagnosis
