Abstract

The ubiquitin-proteasome system is one of the main pathways of protein degradation in human, which is responsible for the degradation of intracellular proteins. Ubiquitin proteasome system (UPS) participates in many kinds of biological activities, including cell cycle, cell apoptosis and so on. The function of UPS is essential for the growth of tumor cells, further, targeting the pathway has emerged as a protential approach in the treatment of human tumor. In this article, we describe several novel proteasome inhibitors that are currently being pursued for the treatment of solid tumors, hoping to provide ideas for the development of new proteasome inhibitors in the future. Key words: Ubiquitin proteasome system; Proteasome inhibitor; Solid tumor
