Abstract

Trauma-induced coagulopathy (TIC) is the coagulation dysfunction that occurs in the early stage of trauma due to imbalance of coagulation, anticoagulation and fibrinolysis caused by various factors. The main clinical manifestation of TIC is massive early bleeding after trauma. TIC is one of the important factors in determining the state of trauma and mortality of TIC patients. As research progress made in recent years, there has been a new understanding of the diagnosis and treatment of TIC, and the mortality of TIC patients has been significantly reduced. However, at present, TIC lacks clear definition and diagnostic criteria, and awareness of TIC is also relatively limited. In order to achieve early clinical detection and early treatment, to reduce the mortality of TIC patients and improve their long-term survival rate, this article reviews literatures on the current research progress of TIC.
