Abstract

By computer retrieval and screening, clinical literature on traditional Chinese medicine treatment of post-stroke intractable hiccups in the recent 5 years were sorted out and summarized, to demonstrate the research progress in this field. The results showed that the treatment of intractable hiccups after stroke by traditional Chinese medicine had the advantages of quick onset, good efficacy and few side effects, and acupuncture therapy was most widely used in particular. This paper reviews the research progress of traditional Chinese medicine treatment therapies from three aspects: Chinese materia medica, acupuncture and comprehensive treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, and briefly describes the application and efficacy of them, so as to provide a reference for the future clinical treatment of this disease. In view of the short comings of current researches, it is expected to improve the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine research onthis disease in the future, and to determine a unified syndrome differentiation system, in order to guide clinical treatment more scientifically and systematically.
