Abstract

Hypoxic pulmonary hypertension (HPH) is associated with pulmonary artery smooth muscle cell proliferation and vascular remodeling, continuous hypoxia can induce pulmonary vasoconstriction and vascular remodeling.Pulmonary vasoconstriction and remodeling are closely related to calcium ion concentration, and therefore it is important to investigate the mechanism that calcium channels involved in pulmonary vasoconstriction and vascular remodeling in the occurrence and development of HPH.Current researches found that the resistin-like molecules family may be involved in the pathogenesis of HPH through calcium channels. Thus, exploring the mechanism of the resistin-like molecules family and calcium channels in HPH plays an important role in the treatment of HPH. Key words: Calcium channels; Hypoxic pulmonary hypertension; Pulmonary vascular remodeling; Pulmonary vasoconstriction; Rsistin-like molecules family
