Abstract

Bio-inspired nanobiology is a rising interdiscipline that integrates bionics, nanotechnology, biology and new materials science, which has been an important branch of bionics and a prospective field of materials science. This review summarizes the research progress of bio-inspired nanobiology. We focus on the applications of the bio-inspired nanobiological materials and techniques in bio-inspired mineralization, bio-inspired DNA nanobots, bio-inspired smart nanochannels, immune cell-inspired adhesive materials, bio-inspired artificial blood vessels, and bio-inspired artificial organ chips. Finally, we discuss the future development of this field.
