Abstract

Mechanical hyperalgesia is a type of hyperalgesia, which is manifested by the pain of normal tissue sensitivity caused by mechanical stimulation. The conduction mechanism is complicated and cannot be fully elucidated at present. Recent studies indicated the important role of multiple mechanosensitive ion channel (MSC) in the mechanotransduction of mechanical hyperalgesia in eukaryotes, including transient receptor potential (TRP) channels and Piezo channel. MSC in nerve ending can be activated by mechanical stimulation, which involved in the pain signals transduction. Inhibition of the MSC results in the blockade of the signals. Therefore, the review was to further summarize the mechanisms of different types of MSC involved in mechanical hyperalgesia and to further understand of the process of MSC involved in mechanical hyperalgesia, which then provide new drug targets for the therapy of mechanical hyperalgesia.
