Abstract

Urinary tract cancer, trauma, inflammation, congenital malformations and other diseases can lead to bladder damage. Nowadays, the intestinal repair and reconstruction is often accompanied by a series of complicationd. Tissue engineering technology to solve this problem provides a new idea. In this article, we reviewed the developments of bladder tissue engineering, and elaborated the current research status of the three main aspects involved in the reconstruction of bladder tissue engineering: the selection of scaffold materials, the cultivation and transplantation of seeding cells and the regulatory effect of growth factors. Meanwhile, we also pointed out some challenges currently faced, such as the selection of bladder tissue engineering scaffolds, the nutrition supply of tissue engineering bladder after in vivo. These problems needed us to further study and solve. Key words: Bladder tissue engineering; Scaffold materials; Seeding cells; Growth factors
