Abstract

ABSTRACT Preventing and managing spontaneous combustion of coal is essential for maintaining the steady growth of the national economy and is a prerequisite for encouraging the establishment of an ecological civilization. This study examines the mechanisms and characteristics of the CSC(coal spontaneous combustion)process, summarizes the technologies for monitoring, detection, and early warning of CSC, compares and analyzes the benefits and drawbacks of the current state of CSC prevention and control response technologies, and introduces the existing technologies for CSC retardation in terms of heat-absorbing and temperature-reducing inhibitors, oxygen-insulating inhibitors, and changing the structure of coal seams. It is pointed out that there are still problems to be solved in the mechanism of CSC formation and evolution, monitoring and early warning, and green prevention and control. Finally, it is concluded that the CSC prevention and control technology should be developed in the direction of precision, high efficiency, economy, intelligence and environmental protection.
