Abstract

Cancer immunotherapy is an important focus of research because of its potential for inducing tumour-specific immune responses. However, this antitumor effect is failed to lead to the tumor regression that may be due to immunoevasive of tumors. It is now clear that many immune checkpoints play an important role in T cell-activation,and tumour-specific immune-checkpoint pathways may represent a major mechanism of immune resistance. Thus,we suggest that the promising approach for enhancing therapeutic antitumor immunity is the blockade of these immune checkpoints.
