Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess the research orientation of doctoral students in educational administration preparation programs. More specifically, the study sought to determine whether learning experiences during the doctoral program and certain personal variables were associated with research orientation. Prior exposure to research activity wasfound to be related to students' interest in and appreciation of inquiry.
