Abstract

In general, AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) used in factories are powered by a wired battery charger in which the battery is removed and connected to the charger. Therefore, this method has problems in maintenance cost and labor cost. On the other hand, automatic charging using wireless power transfer has been introduced. With this power supply, charging at 30A for 20 seconds can run for less than 5 minutes. In this system, there is no mechanical contact between the transmitter and receiver. Therefore, there is no need for maintenance due to deterioration of parts or poor contact. As mentioned above, AGVs are required to be powered wirelessly. However, the AGVs must stop charging with the current wireless charging system, and work cannot be perform during this time. Therefore, industrial machines needs to reduce the non-working time during power supply.
