Abstract
Electromagnetic noise is one of the most important noises of the motor, which is excited by the electromagnetic force waves (EFWs). In this paper, the influence of stator and PM structural parameters on no-load EFWs of surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) is studied by combining the finite element method (FEM) and analytical method. The results indicate that the lower-order no-load EFWs can be decreased by decreasing slot opening width, adopting skewed slot, optimizing the pole-arc coefficient, adopting PM segmentation structure and adjusting the eccentricity of the magnetic poles.
