Abstract
Helicopter transient electromagnetic (HTEM) launch systems require increasingly high current response rates, a valley current control algorithm based on Buck topology circuit is proposed in this paper. By sampling inductor current valley value, output voltage and the input voltage in the current cycle, the valley value of inductor current in the next cycle is predicted, and thus the duty cycle is derived so that the inductor current can track the reference value in one switching response cycle, which improves the response speed of inductor current and analyzes the stability and speed of the closed-loop system through the Byrd diagram. The valley current algorithm is not only simple, but also easy to implement on digital signal processors (DSPs). Finally, the valley current algorithm is verified by software simulation and experiments.
