Abstract

Student acceptance of mobile learning is critical to the success of mobile learning implement. The current study examined factors that influence the undergraduate student’s intention to use mobile learning. Based on extant literature on technology adoption and social interaction, an adoption model that reflects the social interaction, utilitarian values and hedonic values of mobile learning was developed and empirically tested against data collected from 148 undergraduate students in China. The results indicate that two utilitarian values factors (perceived usefulness and perceived convenience), one hedonic values factor (perceived enjoyment) have significant influences on intention to use mobile learning. Perceived social interaction only has indirect impact on the intention to use mobile learning.
