Abstract

The traveling gust by the explosion has a strong influence on the aircraft’s dynamic response. Previous research often takes the hypothesis that the aircraft is ‘frozen’ at the initial location and focuses on the time interpolation of the traveling gust field. This paper investigates the influence of two traveling gust filed interpolation methods on the aircraft dynamic response. The first one is the ‘frozen field’ interpolation method, and the other one is the ‘spatial field’ interpolation method which considers the time and aircraft location. Simulation results demonstrate that the ‘frozen field’ interpolation method increases the dynamic response of the aircraft.
