Abstract

With the increase in national requirements for the “double carbon” target, the proportion of photovoltaic power generation systems in the power network is gradually increasing. For the problem of system instability when the grid-connected PV power generation system is disturbed, a method is proposed to improve the transient characteristics of the PV power generation system by quickly throwing the energy storage system. The mathematical model of the fast energy storage system is constructed in the article. And based on the equal-area rule, it is verified that the fast cut-off energy storage system can restore the stability of the unstable system. A UD model of a fast energy storage system and a grid-connected photovoltaic power generation system are built within PSASP. Simulation validation is performed using this system. The simulation results show that when a system failure occurs, the fast switching of the energy storage system of suitable capacity can effectively solve the problem of system instability. It can improve the transient stability of the PV power generation system.
