Abstract

Aiming at the covering-layer-type slope, a new analysis method of seismic slope stability is put forward, and its rationality is verified by using results of shaking table tests and numerical simulations. This method can consider the effect of shaking duration, and frequency and amplitude of the seismic waves on the stability of the slope. At the same time, the results of shaking table tests and the numerical simulations show that the sliding process of the two-side slope is a balanced and progressive process, and the landslide mechanism analysis results show that non-consistent movement and reduction of strength of the structural plane are two of the major influence factors, which induce the landslide.
