Abstract

In view of the particularity of ship’s double pods propulsion mode, a mathematical model of ship motion is set up. In order to make the double pods more coordinated and promote the desired purpose of ships, the objective function and inequality constraint conditions based on the optimal energy consumption are put forward based on sequential quadratic programming. Combined with the real ship data, the simulation of the thrust optimization system is carried out in MATLAB, and the effectiveness of the control strategy is verified.
