Abstract

A mathematical model was established to predict heat and mass transfer in a flue gas desulfurization scrubber under stable operation condition. Thermal properties of liquid and gas phase were studied. The temperature calculation formula of liquid was presented which is in alignment with the operation parameters. The distribution of temperature and humidity of out flue gas is analyzed through MATLAB software. The results show that thermal properties of outlet flue gas are only related to temperature, humidity, and liquid-to-gas ratio of inlet flue gas. With the increase of temperature and humidity of inlet flue gas, those of out flue gas increase also; with the increase of liquid-to-gas ratio, those of out flue gas decrease. Under actual operation condition of plant power, outlet flue gas is nearly in adiabatic saturation state.
