Abstract

Based on the structural characteristic of fully insulated busbar, this paper proposed the conductor temperature measurement method of fully insulated busbar. This method was testified in temperature rise and conductor temperature measurement tests on a 10 kV fully insulated busbar system. The conductor and out-sheath temperature rise characteristic were obtained and analyzed during these tests. And also the joint conductor temperature rise characteristic was obtained and analyzed. Analyze results show that: when the fully insulated busbar system applied constant current, the time achieved to the stability of temperature rise is no less than 10 hours. During the stability time the temperature difference between the outer sheath and conductor is less than 25 K. When the fully insulated busbar system applied variable current, outer sheath temperature rise and conductor temperature rise are better matched during the test. The temperature rise characteristic of the joint is inferior to that of the line' because of the heat dissipation characteristics of the pipe joint. The conductor temperature measurement method with high practicability and reliability' obtained by the test on the fully insulated busbar system's temperature rise characteristics for further guidance the current carrying capacity to provide certain guiding significance and reference value of the operation.
