Abstract
The paper introduces a new software compensation method based on multisensor to solve the temperature effect on optical fiber displacement sensors. In this method, the output of different displacement sensors are processed by using the data fusion theory and the temperature effect on optical fiber displacement sensor is basically overcome. The method dispenses with added temperature sensor, merely making use of two different outputs of optical fiber displacement sensor, thus providing a practicable approach for optical fiber sensor's practicality. The experimentation shows that coefficient of temperature sensitivity of the optical fiber displacement sensor is reduced remarkably. In addition, accuracy of measurement and stability of the system are both improved
