Research on the Status of Trade Development in Hunan Province Based on Dynamic Factor Analysis and Orderly Sample Data Cluster Analysis

Abstract

The data of 14 cities in Hunan Province from 2010-2019 were selected, and the dynamic factor analysis method and ordered sample clustering were used to evaluate the influencing factors of domestic and foreign trade development in Hunan Province at both static and dynamic levels. The results show that: 1)the trade development kernel factor and foreign cooperation factor were the influential factors in the development of domestic and foreign trade of cities in Hunan Province. 2)From the comprehensive index of domestic and foreign trade development in Hunan Province, the level of domestic and foreign trade development in the eastern region and southern region of Hunan is generally better than other cities. In terms of the static indices of the two influencing factors, the trade development kernel factor index shows spatially uneven distribution characteristics, and the foreign trade cooperation factor index shows a gradient increasing pattern from north to south. 3)From the dynamic index of the factors of the development status of domestic and foreign trade in Hunan Province, the factors show fluctuating change characteristics over time. 4)In terms of the contribution rate of each influence factor, the primary factor driving the development of domestic and foreign trade in the eastern and southern region of Hunan Province, except Zhuzhou and Yongzhou, changes from the trade development kernel factor to the foreign cooperation factor. In the central and northern region of Hunan Province, the trade development of cities in the central region of Hunan Province has changed from being driven by the foreign cooperation factor to the core trade development factor. Finally, it puts forward targeted suggestions on the high-quality development of tourism in different types of tourist cities.
