Abstract

Traditional education mostly guides students’ learning through teachers’ words and deeds, while ignoring the spatial environment of learning is another kind of subtle education. The experiment was conducted with 66 students, 84 class hours, and 5544 action tracking data. Based on environmental psychology theory and teaching practice, this paper proposes a space design strategy for college classrooms to stimulate positive emotions and learning happiness: the Harkness round table model, which stimulates the willingness to communicate, responds to the flexible layout of different teaching situations and the ablation of classroom boundaries.
