Abstract

In order to solve the problem of single-channel separation of LFM signals, a method based on variational mode decomposition (VMD) and fast independent component analysis (FastICA) is proposed to separate signals. Firstly, we set the secondary penalty factor required by VMD and the number of signals. Secondly, the modal component signals are obtained by VMD. Finally, the FastICA separation algorithm is used to reconstruct and obtain the source signal. The simulation results show that the VMD can effectively separate the source signals, and the separation effect is better than the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) in single-channel blind source separation algorithm.
