Abstract

This paper aims at identifying the role teamwork plays in innovation management within the manufacturing companies in China. Using a questionnaire-based approach, a survey was conducted from five manufacturing companies in China namely; Haier, C- Bons Group, Midea, Wuhan Economy Technique Development Area Dongjiang Commerce cl. Ltd and Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company Ltd. The outcome of the analysis of 351 respondents revealed that, teamwork helps in ensuring effective innovation management by promoting good managerial decisions thereby helping these manufacturing companies achieve their innovation objectives. However, the index Appraisal of Team members instead of the team according to the result, do not play much role in effective innovation management as it received the highest total score under disagree option.
