Abstract

Eddy current loss is always an important problem for underwater wireless power transfer (WPT) system, which can cause energy loss and other problems compared with WPT system in air. In this paper, the eddy current loss in the seawater medium is calculated and equivalent to the power consumed by the eddy current resistance in the circuit, so as to modify the circuit model of the underwater WPT system. Finally, the above conclusions are verified by simulation analysis, and the influence of seawater medium parameters on eddy current resistance is studied.
