Abstract

In recent years, the influence of university rankings has gradually expanded, influencing students' choice of university and the direction of schooling in response to social needs. This article will use literature search and comparative method as the main research methods, focus on the criteria used by the four university ranking agencies in China and abroad, and summarize their common experiences and shortcomings in ranking, and put forward suggestions for improving and perfecting university ranking activities in terms of methodology and indicator system design, and self-regulation of university ranking activities.
