Abstract

AbstractIn recent years, the MOBA games have been very popular all over the world, and more and more people have watched the MOBA games through the spectator mode in the game. However, compared with ordinary players participating in the game themselves, the needs of players spectating the game are inconsistent. There are usually 2 teams in a MOBA game, and everyone in the team has data such as blood volume, item volume and so on. These massive amounts of data put cognitive pressure on the players who spectate the game, which in turn affects the player’s user experience. At present, the design and research of games is mainly based on personal experience and qualitative feedback of game designer. There are relatively few studies on how to quantitatively evaluate game user experience and the practical application of research results. Therefore, the quantitative experience of game user experience has high challenges and research value.Based on the related theories of cognitive load and user experience quantification, this article takes the cognitive load generated by players spectating the game as the starting point to explore its impact on user experience. Through qualitative research and analysis, the influencing factors of the user experience of spectating the game of MOBA games are obtained. We use factor analysis to filter out the final impact factors, and construct a structural model of the user experience impact factors for MOBA game spectator mode. Next, with the help of analytic hierarchy process, the weights of each factor in the model are determined, and finally a user experience evaluation system for the MOBA game spectator mode is established, which provides valuable research ideas and methods for improving the design and optimization of the user experience in the spectating process.KeywordsUser experienceSpectator modeMOBA gamesUser experience quantization
