Abstract

Hydrodynamic spiral groove thrust bearing with water lubricated is widely used in precision instruments, such as motorized spindle. And its test research has always been a hot research direction. The purpose of this paper is to solve the difficult problems in the construction of the test-bed for hydrodynamic spiral groove bearing. The test-bed for hydrodynamic spiral groove bearing is designed, and the parameters such as axial stiffness coefficient, volume flow rate and friction torque are tested with the spiral groove thrust bearing as the research object. The general laws of the static characteristics of the hydrodynamic spiral groove thrust bearing are obtained, and the test-bed designed in this paper is verified it is practical in the test and research of hydrodynamic spiral groove thrust bearing with water lubricated.
