Abstract
The quality of power consumption of electric rolling stock (ERS) with zone-phase and pulse converters differ significantly in terms of reactive power consumption and the generation of higher harmonic currents and voltages in the electric traction network. Power supply from traction substations of EPS of the indicated types determines the formation of specific loads on the traction power supply system. Under these conditions, the task of studying the effect on the contact networks of the operation of electric traction ERS converters in the modes of traction and regenerative braking on the railways of the Republic of Uzbekistan becomes urgent. Purpose: Research the influence of traction network parameters, develop a research methodology and recommendations for improving the quality of electricity consumption in the electric traction network by switching to a pulse control method using 4q-S on electric locomotives of the "O'Z-ELR" series. Methods: to solve a scientific problem, a modern method of mathematical modeling was applied using the standard MATLAB Simulink program. Results: It was found that the change in the traction network parameters due to the removal of the "O'Z-ELR" series electric locomotive relative to the traction substation practically does not affect the sinusoidality of the input current waveform. Still, at the same time, the sinusoidality of the input voltage of the traction transformer deteriorates. Practical significance: The obtained modeling results indicate that the computer simulation model allows one to investigate with a sufficient degree of reliability electromagnetic processes in the traction network and power circuits of electric locomotives.
