Abstract

The optimization of distribution route is the most important link of urban logistics terminal distribution whose efficiency will directly affect customer satisfaction as well as cost. This paper described the problem of optimization of terminal distribution route, and then built an optimization model. In the end, the problem was solved by the saving algorithm. Taking the distribution service of a household electrical appliance center as an example, we evaluated the two aspects of the service, which were the mileage and the loading rate. And then we made a comparative analysis on the data before and after the optimization plan was used. The results show that the total mileage when the optimized distribution was used reduced by 24.92% while the loading rate of distribution vehicles increased by 61.1%.
