Abstract
With the rapid development of social economy, many cities have built and expanded urban rail transit networks. Due to the expansion of the urban rail transit network and the continuous increase of passenger flow, the optimization of metro train operation has attracted much attention from researchers in recent years. There are many problems when the original single-line track train operation mode is applied to the network train operation. It is necessary to study on the train operation problems in the network systems. In this paper, we mainly focus on the optimization problems of urban railway network operation. First, the current literature on urban railway operation is reviewed based on different models and optimization objects. Second, according to the review, we extend the current model to network operation. Finally, we choose the network consisted by Yizhuang Line and Line 5 in Beijing Subway as a case study. The passenger flows are well forecasted and evaluated, and the result shows a good balance between operation cost and passenger waiting time.
