Abstract

In this paper, we analyze logistic input-output efficiency of Tianjin port in past five years based on DEA. The results show that the logistic input-output of Tianjin port was non DEA efficiency, and scale reward increased. Then we conduct simulation using witness in three situations, linked respectively to adding the number of quay cranes, scaling up the berthing capacity and increasing the number of locks. The illustrative example indicates the number of quay cranes and locks are bottlenecks of development of Tianjin port. But the berth does not play a major role when the proportion of quay cranes and locks is 5:1, the efficiency of Tianjin port logistics will achieve the optimal.
