Abstract
Petri Net is an important tool of modeling asynchronous and subsequent events. The asynchronous circuit which represented by asynchronous processor has been given great attention for its advantage in solving clock skew and reducing power consuming. A major problem is the absence of mature asynchronous EDA (Electronic Design Automatic) tools to support the asynchronous design style. In this paper we will study the asynchronous circuit by using Petri net method which can describe the behavior of circuits in low-level, including sequential information and describe concurrent behavior clearly. It doesn't depend on the EDA tools which is designed for asynchronous circuit. We also construct a Petri model of an asynchronous controller, then simulating and implement. At last implement a FIFO by this way. The result shows that it can design the asynchronous circuit efficiently.
