Abstract

The disconnector is an accessory for arrester which is widely used in power distribution system arresters; it can minimize the occurrence of a malignant accident in the power system after the arrester failure. But the current technical standards related to the disconnector are general and the key technical parameters such as the minimum operating current and the long-term running current of the disconnector are not specified, without which we cannot fully assess its action performance and tolerance performance. Therefore, in order to study these two key parameters, this paper measures the leakage current values of the arrester in the system single-phase grounding short-circuit condition through the arrester artificial contamination test, according to the data, we set the long-term running current of the disconnector to 30mA; and determine the minimum operating current value of the disconnector is 50mA according to the test of operating characteristics and the result of the calculation and analysis of the arrester leakage current in the single-phase grounding short circuit fault of the neutral point ungrounded system. The test results can be based on the development of the technical standard for the disconnector, which will help to promote the use of the disconnector.
