Research on the Interpersonal Function of Hemingway’s Novel Language Based on Computer

Abstract

Language is the carrier and medium of interpersonal communication and has multiple functions in interpersonal communication. Interpersonal function is one of the important theories of system functional grammar. Language is an important symbol of human activities, and it carries various functions of meaning. Language can fill the meaning and communicative function that the speaker wants to convey, and it can also imply more meaning dimensions and levels. In the complex communication process, language can fully reflect the meaningful potential of the speaker’s attitude, position, and emotional motivation. In the computer age, language can be expressed in a variety of ways, and language can produce multiple communicative functions such as reasoning, judgment, and comprehensive evaluation through communication. Using virtual reality technology to simulate the dialogue of the characters in the novel “White Elephant”, analyze the role of interpersonal emotions, reveal its influence on the relationship between characters and the meaning of communication, and help us understand the deep meaning of Hemingway’s language.
