Abstract

Abstract This paper analyzes the influence of levying sulfur tax on the industrial structure of Liaoning Province with a computable general equilibrium (CGE) model, showing that sulfur tax can promote industrial structure effectively by changing consumers’ demand preference, reducing the demand of sulfur resources such as coal, and accelerating the shift of capital and labor to tertiary industry.
