Abstract

Cascade hydropower station uses natural runoff and outflow from upstream reservoirs as the “fuel” for power generation, while the discharge of ecological flow directly affects the storage capacity. For hydropower stations without ecological units, the discharge of ecological flow will inevitably affect the power generation capacity of the cascade hydropower stations. The design of the Baishuijiang cascade hydropower station has requirements for ecological flow discharge, but the requirements and standards of ecological flow in actual operation and management are not uniform, resulting in the unclear implementation of ecological flow. By investigating the construction and solution of the short-term optimization scheduling model, this paper analyzes the impact of ecological flow discharge on the power generation of the Baishuijiang cascade hydropower station. The research results can provide a reference for further clarifying the ecological flow standard of the Baishuijiang cascade hydropower station and guiding its production and operation.
