Abstract

The current learning achievements of interior design students cultivated by the academia are directly reflected in the expectations of the industry for professional talents. In recent years, there has obviously been a gap that is far less than expected; secondary the lack of comprehensiveness to conduct quantitative investigations on the gap between “school training” and “professional capabilities required in practice”. In view of this, this research will focus on exploring the current interior design industry for interior design talents that should cultivate professional competence technology items that meet the required for industry in Taiwan, further construct the evaluation system of professional competence technology for interior design talents. The research will use the Delphi technique to conduct an expert questionnaire survey. This research found that the importance sequence of the professional competence technology levels required for professional competence training for interior design talents are “Design Operation and Marketing Management” (8.31), “Future Design Learning Capabilities” (8.24), “Interior Planning and Design” (7.99), “Regulations and Laws Professional” (7.98), “Renovation Engineering Knowledge and Construction Management” (7.78). The research results can be used for future university institutions to study and adjust the direction of interior design talent cultivation, and further used as an important references and suggestions for design of diversified innovative courses in the future.
